Enjoy the lush foliage of spring, summer or fall and then return to our winter wonderland for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. We're located on Trail B111, just north of Drew (between Clifford and Mount Forest, Ontario). Access to the snowmobile trail is easy, as it winds its way across our property.
Over 100 acres of rolling hills, mature forest & wildlife abounds!
Romantic Getaway Rental - Bed & Breakfast
Come in from the cold to a crackling fire, soft music, a taste of wine and hide away in our 1927 Railway Caboose. We've remodeled it to create a private, romantic world for two with wood stove, satellite TV, VCR, DVD, CD player, magazines, books, board games and much, much more.
The Caboose is stocked with a full array of breakfast foods such as dry cereal, instant oatmeal, granola bars, fruit yogurts, mini cakes, muffins, assorted breads, bagels, cream cheese, eggs, microwave bacon, fruit juices, Tim Hortons coffee (reg. & decaf.), a selection of teas, milk according to guest preference, plus a large variety of basic condiments. So you can sleep late and fix breakfast in bed for each other.
The Caboose also supplies a great selection of snacks from chips and crackers, to unlimited soft drinks, microwave popcorn, or marshmallows for roasting on special yard long forks over a midnight fire. A mini bottle of sparkling wine is provided along with regular and flavoured bottled water, and on arrival we welcome our guests with different snacks depending on the time of year, and each day a new fruit specialty is offered.
We've equipped the kitchenette with bar fridge, two-burner hot plate, microwave, contact grill, toaster & convection ovens, coffee maker, kettle, crock pot, and waffle maker so the choice is yours. In the warmer months enjoy the outdoor BBQ, private deck, patio and fire pit.
So you can either select a nearby restaurant or bring the fixings for lunch or a private, intimate dinner and never step outside.
We've tried to anticipate as many needs as possible so you can enjoy your stay at our romantic hideaway, including a butlers chest in case you forget to pack important things like toothpaste and sun screen. We even supply a curling iron, sewing kit, hiking accessories, umbrellas, and wireless head phones so one can watch TV while the other reads or sleeps.
Main Lodge
Enjoy 24hr, private use of our recreation facilities ~~ share a candlelight swim in the indoor, heated, salt-water pool or just lay back & luxuriate in the hot tub water massage. Bask in the sun in our thirty foot solarium or pick out a tune on the piano. Work out on the rowing machine, try your skill on our Westbury snooker table or curl up with a coffee and Baileys in the rocker/recliner in the games room and watch TV. Plus in the games room we supply extra nibbles such as mixed nuts, trail mix, juices, soft drinks and bottle water.
In summer we are within 10 to 20 minutes from golfing at the championship Pike Lake course, see harness racing or play the slots at Hanover Raceway, access the Saugeen River canoe route at Hanover Park, hike the fabulous trail systems of the Saugeen Conservation Area Headquarters or visit the surrounding picturesque towns and villages.
